Tree Guard Removal Please Help
"Thanks so much to everyone who's helped remove the plastic guards from the trees in the Diamond Jubilee wood so far. We've made a really good impact, and there's still plenty to do!
We're going to be there again this Sunday afternoon (27th) from 2pm. Are you free to help us?
If you can help, please meet us in the Diamond Wood car park on Pasture Lane at 2pm on Sunday. You'll need to wear good gardening gloves - and sturdy footwear, long sleeves and trousers are recommended due to brambles. Please bring safety goggles if you have any and something to cut the plastic e.g. secateurs or penknife. The actual cutting of the plastic isn't suitable for children, but we really valued the help the children have given before collecting the plastic guards and the wooden stakes - so there's plenty for everyone to do!
Hope to see you there, and thank you again for your help."
