Memorial stone
A memorial stone has been installed at the entrance to the playing field and serves as a lasting tribute to the far too many people lost far too soon to COVID-19.
It is also a tribute to our genius scientists, brave nurses and doctors and the scores of carers and key workers who have been there for us all throughout this incredibly challenging time.

The parish council will meet in the village hall at 7.30 PM on Monday 13th June.

Annual Parish meeting
The annual parish meeting will take place in the village hall at 6.30 PM on Monday 13th June.
All parishioners are welcome to attend this meeting. It is not a parish council meeting, although it has been organised by the parish council.
This meeting gives parishioners an opportunity to speak and discuss matters of importance or concern in the community.

East Midlands Airport volunteers
On Sunday 8th May a group of volunteers from East Midlands Airport (pictured here) joined members of the parish council and local residents to free hundreds of the trees in the Diamond Wood off Pasture Lane from their guards and stakes.
The team from the airport said that they felt proud to be able to make a difference, and enjoy the late spring sunshine. Our thanks to all involved.

Repairs to lights in playing field car park
The contractor for the lights at the playing field/car park have confirmed that they will carry out the work on Friday 20th May. They will need to close off certain sections of the car park so that they can access the posts. They will close of the areas on Thursday evening so that they are able to access the posts on the Friday.
