Commemorative tree removal
Some of you will be aware that the commemorative tree at the playing fields has had a split in it for some time.
The parish council instructed an arborist to look at the tree and following their inspection they took the decision that the split limb on the tree had left the tree in a compromised condition and it could not be safely retained in his professional opinion.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) William Davis Development
Fellow residents, as many of you will be aware the William Davis development that is now being developed, attracted a CIL payment from the developer. This totalled some £846,000. The good news for the village is that some 15% of this, £127,000 is paid to the Parish Council to be spent on projects and community enhancements as best seen fit by the Parish Council. Playscheme
The Playscheme will be held at Sutton Bonington playing fields for children aged 5 to 13 years. Children under that age are welcome but must be accompanied by their parent or carer.
The Playscheme will take place from Monday 1st August – Friday 5th August and Monday 8th August – Friday 12th August 10am to 12 noon, extended to 1p.m. on Friday 12th.
